More June in 3D

What better way to start the day than with June Palmers magnificent chest in all it’s glory and in 3D as well! This is another original JP image taken by John W and converted into 3D.  Some images and poses just lend themselves to be in 3D and this is one of them!

Marie Deveraux – French 75

Marie Deveraux wearing a blonde wig in an article title ‘French 75′ from Jolie Magazine Vol.1 No.1 (1962).  This magazine was a great find and other GHM models appeared in the same issue, such as Virginia Green and June Wilkinson.  Cover of the magazine in question for completeness below.

Mary Stephan (Caroline Coon) – Rogue Magazine

Mary Stephan from the pages of Rogue Magazine Vol.20 No.15 (December 1968).  Taken by GHM on the Xmas/Winter set that he used for the Kamera Winter Special (1967) and ‘Festive Spirit’ glamour film featuring Dawn Grayson.  It seems that this winter setting appeared across numerous December publications at this time.

Correction – I originally had this down as Rosalie Peters, but my error was pointed out and it is indeed Mary Stephan, or Caroline Coon when she wore a blonde wig.

Marie Deveraux – She Walks in Beauty

Just two images from ‘She Walks in Beauty’ by Harrison Marks of Marie Deveraux.  One stunning full length shot of her and that fine figure, the other wearing the familiar blonde wig and scarf showing her breasts off between some drift wood.  There were many more of Marie in GHM’s earlier hardback publication ‘Kamera on Location’ with Pamela Green and Lorraine Burnett.  I’d love scanned copy if anyone out there knows of one or has one they are willing to share?

How Much Editing Do I Do?

Someone asked the question on how much I edit the images published on here, which doesn’t have a straightforward answer!  It depends! It depends on the size and quality of the original, but my view is that I only restore or enhance, but not alter.  Most of the time it’s restoring colour, removing blemishes and scratches and tweaking highlights and contrast and re-sizing if they are large files.  Overall, nothing that drastically alters the context of the original.

I’ll use another June Palmer shot as an example.

The original image scanned directly from a 120 film negative

My Edit – A slight crop of the image, colours enhanced and restored & a few scratches removed and that is it!

The purists will say don’t mess with the original, but I prefer the colours in my edit!

The image is another JP original from John W of June as Joanna Kent in strawberry blonde wig on the beach and I love it!  I think it’s the pose and June’s bum!

June Palmer in 3D!

Back from my holiday and starting off with something a bit different!  Go grab your old red/cyan 3D glasses (If you can still find them!) and behold the magnificence of June Palmer in glorious 3D!
This was kindly provided by John W, who had the pleasure of actually taking these photo’s of June himself in one of the many sessions he attended at Strobe Studios during the 1980’s.  The image works very well in 3D, as I found some 3D glasses and all I’ve done is clean up the image.
