February 2018 Highlights

Another busy month flies past with regards to posts and 33 posts for the month, which can all be seen here. Some really good shots again, but I particularly like the dark haired Pamela Green, The Three girls posing on the beach in Rhodes, the form and figure cover and all the 1970’s girls showing off their hairy attributes. You can search for all of these shots by going to the archive and choosing February. More of the same to come in March to hopefully warm us all up!

Pamela Green – Give a Kick to Your Sales Curve! (1960)

Pamela Green in an advert from the Corsetry & Underwear magazine Vol.26 No.2 (February 1960). Not your normal post, but a great find of Pam posing for an advert in her underwear. The advert itself as you can see seems to be aimed at the underwear manufacturers who want Bri-Nylon accessories. A bit of extra work on the side from posing and working with Harrison Marks, or maybe even shot by GHM himself?

Thanks to Paul from Firebird Records for finding this and sending over a copy of the advert and cover 🙂

Glamour Parade Cover – Ellie or Ann? (1959)

There is no doubting that it’s Ann Austin on the cover of this US magazine Glamour Parade (February 1959), but interesting that the magazine has her named as Ellie Manning on the cover.

Thanks to Paul from Firebird Records for the cover and additional info that unfortunately the only other image inside the magazine is the same shot in black & white. No indication of the fact that she’s a British model, in fact it suggests she’s from New York! But we all know how the magazines and photographer’s back then liked to embellish on the truth around model names and where they came from 🙂

A great clear colour shot of Ann in white lace panties and negligee with the negligee open but strategically placed to cover her ample bosom enough to get her on the cover!

Dawn Grayson – A Flash of Thigh! (1966)

A flash of thigh from Dawn Grayson as she reveals her fancy stockings and slip below her dress! Taken around 1966, similar shots to this one appeared in Spick No.147 (February 1966) but I’m not sure if this actual shot was published? I must admit that in my extensive Dawn collection the biggest gap I have of her is in her Spick & Span, Beautiful Britons shots and appearances.

I’d love to get hold of good quality copies of her Toco appearances or the original images and in particular a set of her posing in the bath in striped top and stockings. It’s on the top of my want list and isn’t even of Dawn nude 🙂

Rosalie Peters – Kamera Calendar, February 1968

There is a definitely a theme with the Kamera Calendar for 1968 by Harrison Marks, especially for the winter months, snow! Here we have Rosalie Peters sat sporting a very attractive bobble hat for the February page. I think she could do with some pants on though, as I bet her bum is cold sitting on that snow 🙂
