Lee Southern (Sothern) sat posing in a very dodgy old wheelbarrow in the grounds of Sheplegh Court in 1963. From a set of Lee in and around the grounds of Sheplegh and taken by Leslie Bainbridge on a glass photographic plate.
Lee Sothern (Southern) or Grace Jackson wearing just a sunhat as she poses with a piece of straw in the grounds of Sheplegh Court. Scanned from a glass photographic plate and taken in 1960 when she was apparently 24!
A restored version of a print of Vicky Ashley taken by Leslie Bainbridge for Health & Efficiency. Fabulous view of her sat in that armchair, wearing pearls and a chain belt subtly highlighting her smooth neat pussy. This comes from over on VEF by user dave123, who has posted several sets of other models photographed by Bainbridge, with nearly all of them showing off their baby smooth nether regions
Nancy Roberts kneeling on the steps of a building in the grounds of Sheplegh Court, Devon from a scan of a photographic glass plate. Another from the set of Nancy in the grounds of Sheplegh Court in 1959, when she was a mere 20 years old and taken by Leslie L. Bainbridge, editor of H&E (Health & Efficiency) magazine and then Girl Illustrated.
Yet another fantastic shot of a young June Palmer posing nude for Leslie Bainbridge in the studio in 1960, using photographic glass plates. Thanks to John W for this full set of original images.

Three shots of UK model, Margaret Stewart posing outdoors at one with nature, with all three shots taken by Leslie Bainbridge on photographic glass plates. Again, it is unknown where these shots were published, if indeed they were, but more than likely due to the style of them, shot for the likes of Health & Efficiency (H&E). Unknown location, but I do like the top shot of her posing in the fountain and her body being sprayed with the water 🙂
OK, more like a crawl, but I love this shot of Nancy Roberts kneeling on all fours in the grass, especially the look on her face! A very ‘You want it? Come and get it’ look as she poses like that.
Another from the set of Nancy taken in the grounds of Sheplegh Court in 1959, when she was a mere 20 years old! Looking at the details on the box of these glass plates I now recognise the handwriting as that of Leslie L. Bainbridge, editor of H&E (Health & Efficiency) magazine and then Girl Illustrated. Who also took a set of shots I’ve been posting of Lee Southern as well.
I came across this shot over on Tumblr posted by Magoothings and had never seen this shot of June before. The shot taken in a garden location features not only a young June, but also Nancy Roberts (stood) and Maureen Frawley
a third unknown model. I never knew June had posed with Nancy, but it would make sense that their paths must have crossed at some point and this is one of those occasions. At a guess I think this location may be somewhere like Sheplegh Court around 1960, with the photographer being Leslie Bainbridge? Only because both June and Nancy posed for Leslie early in their careers, but I may be completely wrong.
It’s still a great photo of June and friends and when I asked about it’s original, Magoothings said he’d seen a copy of this shot on eBay Germany, but I could find it to see if there were any others. Thanks to Magoothings for letting me share this great image, plus another of Nancy over on Kamera Club, and if anyone can shed any light on this image or the third model, please do let me know?
Edit: Thanks to Portland, who has identified the third model as Maureen Frawley 🙂
Three more silver gelatin prints of Lee Sothern (Southern) from photographic glass plates. These were again taken poolside at Sheplegh Court down in South Devon in the 1960’s, although in this shoot the pool seems to be empty in these, so maybe a later date than the shot I posted here?
Three great poses by Lee and after a bit of detective work I’ve identified the photographer as Leslie L. Bainbridge, editor of H&E (Health & Efficiency) magazine and then Girl Illustated.
The 7th glass photographic plate of June taken by Leslie Bainbridge in the studio (12th August, 1960). This shot has June sat with her legs out to one side as she plays with her necklace, unfortunately there is a shadow on the right hand side and I’m not sure if that was in the studio at the time or on the glass plate itself. Still a worthy shot of June 🙂
