Alison Wills – Mayfair Vol.16 No.11 (Nov 1981)

I published the cover of Mayfair Vol.16 No.11 featuring Alison before, but promised to post the rest of the article featuring much more of her, so here it is! And as you can see, she reveals much more than on the cover, but not as much as in some of her other adventures 🙂

Alison Wills – Mayfair Cover (November 1981)

Alison Wills on the cover of Mayfair Vol.16 No.11 (Nov 1981). I will always have an affinity to Mayfair, as it was one of my first introductions into glamour/men’s magazines as a young adult. This cover along with a few others was one of my favourites and always manages to get a reaction! There’s nothing particularly risque about the cover, other than maybe the way Alison is posing, but it does it for me!

The shots of Alison within the magazine are equally as good and reveal far more of what’s beneath that white leotard than the cover, but sometimes less is more and makes the mind work 🙂 Incidentally Alison’s very young almost school girl like look helped her progress her career as a model in the 1980’s. She went on to appear in several other magazine’s and did a lot more explicit stuff in magazines with titles like Sweet Little 16 and so on, which I don’t think I need to explain further!

I have other very vivid memories of Mayfair including a young Linda Lusardi and a severe crush on Rosemary England, or least some very nice bits of her. All of which have probably helped drive and develop my tastes as I got older, but I always seem to revert back to my Mayfair days!

A Thirsty Georgina Wilson! (1979)

I’ve had these two shots of Georgina Wilson and this Coke bottle for ages and may have posted them on one of my older blogs, but they still really appeal to me. I think it must be the way the water from the bottle runs down her body in the way, especially the second shot 🙂 These plus other shots of Georgina appeared in Mayfair Magazine Vol.14 No.8 (Aug 1979) and until recently that was all I had.

Recently I’ve found out she actually modelled under another name, Linda Butler and I have 4 superb originals of her as well! So until I post the new ones, time to re-enjoy these shots of Georgina/Linda.

A Medley of Models

Here’s a new one to me from the pages of Mayfair Magazine Vol.1 No.4 (December 1966) a line up of well know 1960’s models. Unless I am mistaken from left to right we have Lee Southern (Grace Jackson), Dawn Grayson, Teri Martine, Unknown, Bobby Shaw and finally Annette Johnson. Sorry I can’t place the lovely in red, but she looks familiar, but not a regular on here, anyone put me out of my misery and name her?

Thanks must go to Dasduffer over on VEF for scanning and sharing this, along with some new Dawn Grayson and Teri Martine material from early Mayfair issues, which I hope to share here soon.

Angela Duncan – Mayfair Magazine

Following in the footsteps of Margaret Nolan, June Palmer and Ann Walker an appearance in Mayfair Magazine for Angela Duncan.  She appeared on the cover of Mayfair Vol.5 No.10 (October 1970) and as Mayfair’s Girl of the Month as above.  Sorry don’t have a very good copy of the cover, but love the shots in white stockings and panties!

Annie Walker – The Mystique of a Mature Woman

An older Ann Walker (34) posing in Mayfair Magazine Vol.11 No.10 (October 1974), original images and text included below.  She sure looked good and I love the last two images below, what a glorious full natural bush she had!  Anyone know if the modelling agency part was true and if she’s still in the business?

The Mystique of the Mature Woman – Annie Walker

Back in the supposedly swinging sixties before Mayfair and others like it appeared to revolutionise British men’s magazines,  the ‘pin-up’ reigned supreme.  Black and white, coyle posed, tastefully lit studies in which bare boobs were OK, but pubes and sizzle were strictly verboten.  Even so, despite the blandness of the studies, one girl seemed to project an aura of sexuality that set her apart.  Her name was Annie Walker and she was just about the most popular and sought after model of that time.

Some ten years ago though, Annie gave up modelling and opened her own highly successful modelling agency in North London.  She’s now 34 years old, a sleek 34-22-34 and pleased to return if only temporary, to the modelling scene.  ‘It’s all very different now’ maintains Annie.  ‘Everything used to be terribly posed, but now it’s much more relaxed and natural.  I wouldn’t have posed for the more blatant pictures that some magazines carry at the moment – I much prefer Mayfair’s style.’  Annie’s modelling career started when she was 18, posing for students at the St Martin’s Art School in London, from which she quickly moved on to magazine work and the her own agency.

With Annie’s background and past appeal in mind, she seemed to us the natural answer to all the oft-repeated requests for a photoset on an ‘older woman’.  ‘I don’t know whether younger men see me as the mature type,.’ says Annie.  ‘To be honest it’s not something I’ve really thought about.  But I do like to be treated as a woman – being the chased rather than the chaser. I’m not married, so I socialise a lot. Men? Oh, those in their 30’s usually.’ Which says much for their taste. Here’s to ten years time Annie.

June Palmer – Mayfair, November 1977

June Palmer – Mayfair Magazine, Volume 12, No.11 (November 1977)
After retiring from modelling in the late 1960’s, June Palmer looks as stunning as ever at 37 as she makes her modelling comeback in Mayfair Magazine.
