Shoot! It’s Cowgirl June (Original)

Well blow the smoke from my gun! It’s June posing as a cowgirl including gun and holster, although I prefer the white boots and sheer panties 🙂 Taken by Itsgardin at Strobe Studio’s in 1979.

It’s a Good Life, Margo! (Original)

Sometimes when you see an image you just have to post it and this is one of those shots! This wonderfully posed shot of Cindy Neal popped into my inbox last night from Terry and I love it and the little story attached, which will make the title of this post clearer 🙂
One of Terry’s original transparencies, he worked with Cindy several times and also used her flat as a location. It was situated off Regents Park and decorated in a slightly Eastern style, which was useful as it was just up the road from Terry’s studio in Great Portland Street. Another bit of useless information, her real name was Margo, but Terry never did find out about her surname.
So there you go Cindy was a Margo, which makes me laugh as I always associate the name Margo with Penelope Keith from the TV series ‘The Good Life’, hence the subtle title to the post! Enjoy the shot of Cindy/Margo and thanks Terry for a fantastic little shot.

June Palmer – A Touch of The Orient! (Original)

Well I’ve not seen this shot or any similar shots of June dressed as a geisha or similar oriental lady, but what a stunning shot it is of her! The figure, the boobs  and the make-up all make this shot a wonder to behold and thanks to Kevin for sharing, as he is selling this large format negative ( 2 inches by 2 inches) over on eBay and kindly sent me a copy beforehand. No idea who took the shot, but could be a rare Harrison Marks shot, but really don’t have any more details, so will just sit back and enjoy the view!

Don’t Push The Boat Out June! (Original)

Shot number three from the set of June messing about on the water with a yellow dingy in just some black bikini bottoms. Taken by Arthur Howell at some holiday location, hopefully not the UK as that could have been a bit nippy!

June Palmer – Hotel Tease! (Original)

Probably not a real hotel room, as I’ve never seen curtains that plush like that in any hotel I’ve ever been in. Plus I’m sure I’ve seen that oriental cabinet before too. Thanks to John for sharing one of his original negatives of June.

Elaine Desmond – River Dance! (1966)

A shot of Elaine Desmond down by the river taken by Harrison Marks and sent through by Kevin from one of his original negatives. Location wise I’m still not sure this is Ewhurst, but rather a location down in Cornwall, as I’ve seen similar shots at this dam used in Kamera on Location 66 with Gill Evans.

Vicky Ashley – Paddling Pool Pose (Original)

Never has a kids yellow paddling pool looked so inviting as in this shot! The second shot of Vicky Ashley taken by Terry Sparks in the grounds of Ewhurst manor in 1969 (10th June). A wonderfully composed shot by Terry of Vicky, with the wet yellow blouse working very well with the yellow of the pool. Only one more shot of Vicky by Terry left to go at Ewhurst, which is a shame as I’m really enjoying these shots of Vicky, especially this one.
Thanks again to Terry who continues to provide some shots of his fantastic work with the models, along with great narrative about his time shooting all these lovely ladies. He’s now sent me a list of all the models he worked with and wow he had a hard job and I look forward to hearing more about his time back then, as it’s always appreciated.

June Palmer – A Figure That Opens Doors! (Original)

A simple but stunning shot of a nude June posing in a doorway for Stefan Glass in nothing more than high heels! You can see why June was the most popular UK glamour model in the 1960’s as her figure is flawless and as the title says opened so many doors for her! This shot is part of the huge Stefan Glass Set, but is a smaller sub set of shots of June posing in this doorway and on the stairs, more to come! It’s also a slightly cropped version of the original in line with the contact sheet version, which I will publish anon.
