The cover of Model No.3 by Russell Gay featuring a stunning overhead view of a model who’s name escapes me at the moment, but I’m sure someone will remind me. A larger format magazine than QT but an underrated magazine in my view as the magazine and models were always worth a peruse!
Frankie Young posed for many of the key photographers back in the 1960’s, including Russell Gay and Harrison Marks. This seems to be a shot by Russell Gay and is the most open and revealing shot I’ve seen of her to date, as she normally keeps her knickers on or poses in a way to hide what lies below!
Frankie posed for GHM in Kameras No.55 (1963), No.56, in which she appears on the cover and No.58. She is the star of Solo No.37 and further photos from earlier shoots were published in Kameras No.69, 73 & 75, and in Kamera Special No.3. She also appears on eight of the large format pages of Harrison Marks’ prestigious hardback coffee table book, ‘She Walks in Beauty’. There are two glamour movies featuring Frankie: No.47 ‘Frankly Frankie’ & No.51 ‘What the Eye Doesn’t See’. I have a copy of the first film, so must dig it out and publish it 🙂
A stunning open view of Frankie!
A restored 35mm colour slide of Eve Eden (Rosa Domaille) by Russell Gay, as she poses with some gold netting. The familiar coloured checked background appears that is synonymous with early Gay shots used in QT and the netting hides anything untoward that may have needed to be censored 🙂
Virginia Green from the cover of Amber No.3 by Russell Gay. A great cover with Virginia showing off a very fruity pair of … grapes!
The bountiful Pat Ebden on the cover of QT No.43. I thought I’d pretty much posted everything I have on this phenomenal beauty, as there really doesn’t seem to be much around of Pat, until this shot plus several others from the same magazine appeared in my inbox this morning. It seems nearly of her stuff was taken by and published in magazines by Russell Gay, including this shot, but what a shot it is and she really did have a fabulous figure and ample chest.
Thanks must go to Paul from Firebird Records for sending this and the other shots of Pat over this morning. Paul constantly sends over scans from his large and diverse vintage magazine collection for the site and seems to know just what I like to see and post from Harrison Marks magazines to models such as Pat.
It’s always good to get something to perk you up first thing in the morning and Pat certainly did that!
