A Quick Dip With Gill (Original)

Gill Evans having a quick dip in a rock pool down at the beach in 1966. Taken by Harrison Marks in the summer of 1966 on his two week trip with his models to Bedruthan in Cornwall for images that would later to appear in Kamera on Location 66 and several Solo editions featuring his popular models. Gill was a model from the second week of the trip and seemed to enjoy being in the water, or so it seems as she is photographed in the sea, rock pools and a river in various shots throughout Kamera on Location 66.

Gill had a cracking figure as shown in this side profile shot and incidentally this is from one of my first negative purchases and scans from a few years ago.

A Sun Soaked Karen Mifflin (1980’s)

Carrying on with the summer feeling with a favourite model from the 1980’s in the form of Karen Mifflin cooling off at the sea edge. It seems Karen had a propensity for sunny locations or getting wet as a model, as nearly all the shots I have of her involve her doing one or both, such as this shot.

Not that I’m complaining as this olive skinned beauty suns her fabulous body and dark lush bush, but that sand is going to be a bugger to get out that hair 😉

A Cool Southern Breeze! (1967)

Lee Southern (Sothern) cooling off in the sea on the cover of Health & Efficiency (June 1967). Nothing risqué about this cover, but Lee looks sexy and cool at the same time in her blue bikini as she takes a splash in the sea. Taken at a beach close to Sheplegh Court in Devon, which was a popular haunt of editor Leslie Bainbridge.

Ann Walker – Fancy a Dip? (Original)

As we are in the middle of a heatwave here in the UK I thought it seemed appropriate to post some shots of Ann Walker having a drip in the sea! Ann looks fabulous in her bikini as she poses on the rocks and in the sea for Ed Alexander, both the photographer and her boyfriend at the time.

Not your usual glamour shot of Ann, but she sure seems to be enjoying the water, but I’m not sure if these shots warm me up or cool me down in the current climate 🙂

M is For Margaret (Xmas Calendar)

No calendar would be complete without at least one appearance from the magnificent Margaret Nolan. This shot is no exception as it has her frolicking in the in the shallows of the sea from Kamera No.48 P44 (1962) by Harrison Marks. A beautiful rear view!
