I remember at the tender age of thirteen with raging hormones seeing my first Kamera; No 11. It was in the newsagents I did a paper round for. I can remember staring at it for sometime. I didn’t dare touch it, such magazines had none of the “top-shelf” restrictions in those days, and was within easy reach, but my Mum used the newsagent regularly every day, I had dreadful visions that the newsagent would tell her if I did. But somehow I had to have that magazine. I toured the many newsagents in Willesden until I saw another one. But a woman was serving, I spluttered and mumbled and bought a Mars bar. This site is worth every shilling to see the irony of what was taboo, but now has become part of our culture. Great photos of nude women, often with shaven pussy’s before it was legal in the US. So many pioneers were jailed or ruined for the beauty shown here. Thank you for staying the course of erotic photography.

As I wrote my heading I thought ‘what a corny heading’! And it is – but it’s also true. I absolutely loved Kamera and Solo years ago and this love has not diminished with time. I have a couple of examples of Kamera magazine and that is sufficient. What is so wonderful about this site is the opportunity to sometimes see these lovely girls as GHM saw them himself – naked and gorgeous! It was so frustrating back in the early 1960s when photos were censored – and sometimes so badly that they could best be described as ‘butchered’. What is so refreshing about the images Russ posts on this site is that in their uncensored form the photos are almost always tasteful and not crude as ‘pin up’ shots became later. I was sort of around here from almost day one, and usually visit the site on a daily basis which adds up to quite a lot of visits. One thing is for sure that without this site there would have been a lot of images from the GHM stable that I would never have seen, so from that point alone, I remain extremely grateful. Having said that, the vast majority of all the postings are crisp and clear, which given the age, which in some instances now is around fifty years, is quite an achievement in itself. I hope the site continues.

Without a doubt the finest site on the internet. Russ can only be described as a perfectionist and the time and effort he puts in to his regular posts can only be descibed as amazing.
