The stunning elegance of 1950’s model Doris Hurst and I’ve come across two copies of this same print from two different sources, so again obviously printed multiple times back then for distribution. This crisp clear copy comes from Girlymag and needed very little in the way of restoring/editing doing to it, but shows off Doris’s fine assets at their very best!
I don’t know why but Doris seems to come across a lot older than she probably was, something to do with the hair style back then? I bet she wasn’t much older than her 20’s though at a guess, but I’ve never a good judge at ages!

she has an young face and you are right that grandma hairstyle doesn’t help ! – she goes way back to the late 1950’s for sure …got a few small pocket mags with her in it – these are very good darkroom quality not 4 x 5 odd Brit size prints i have seen a few – he is a good seller
Ever since these pic’s were posted it has been bugging me that Doris Hurst reminded me of somebody else in some but not in all of the photo’s. Finally the ageing memory banks came up with an answer; film and TV actress June Thorburn. Noted as being a “glamour girl of the silver screen” in the 1960’s. Sadly she was killed in a plane crash at Heathrow in 1967.
For me she reminds me of Liz frazer
