Another original image, this time Monique Devereux against the backdrop of a brick wall! I must admit that MD isn’t one of my favourite GHM models she always looks like she’s ‘sucking everything in’ when being photographed and it just doesn’t look natural. Saying that she appears the same in nearly all of her shots, so perhaps I’m doing her an injustice!
On a more trivia note, we know that Monique Devereux (Monique Leitzau) was the name given to her by GHM, but was he a fan of the TV western, Hotel de Paree (1959–1960) as one of the main characters played by Judi Meredith was Monique Deveraux! I’m never sure of the Devereux spelling with GHM, as seen it in all these versions Deveraux, Devereaux, Devereux and I’ve probably used all versions at different times! Add Marie Deveraux into the mix and it justs get damn confusing!

If only we had such revealing shots of all the other Marks and Russell Gay (QT models). I remember going to the HM exhibition (in Wardour St?) in my late teens, but being too shy to buy the unretouched glossy prints there.
Don't you wished you'd bought them now though! I have plenty of the other GHM models in all their full glory, so keep watching as I get round to publishing them. I posted a great untouched shot of Bobby Shaw the other day!
