My dad used to be a keen amateur photographer back in the late 40s/early 50s. He had a German camera, studio lights, an enlarger and used to develop his own pictures. I sometimes wonder whether he ever got my mother to pose for him (she had an attractive figure back then). It’s inconceivable that he didn’t at least ask her, not that I think she would have done anything daring – she was far too strait-laced. But you never know…
