Full On Frankie! (Original)

Frankie Young posed for many of the key photographers back in the 1960’s, including Russell Gay and Harrison Marks. This seems to be a shot by Russell Gay and is the most open and revealing shot I’ve seen of her to date, as she normally keeps her knickers on or poses in a way to hide what lies below!

Frankie posed for GHM in Kameras No.55 (1963), No.56, in which she appears on the cover and No.58. She is the star of Solo No.37 and further photos from earlier shoots were published in Kameras No.69, 73 & 75, and in Kamera Special No.3. She also appears on eight of the large format pages of Harrison Marks’ prestigious hardback coffee table book, ‘She Walks in Beauty’. There are two glamour movies featuring Frankie: No.47 ‘Frankly Frankie’ & No.51 ‘What the Eye Doesn’t See’. I have a copy of the first film, so must dig it out and publish it 🙂

A stunning open view of Frankie!

Frankie Young – A Little Light Adjustment

An uplifting shot of Frankie Young as she leans up to adjust the round paper lamp shade that was popular back then, I think I even had one, lampshade not Frankie! Taken by Russell Gay this shot was reprinted in the 1960’s Glamour book on page 256 and shows off Frankie s figure perfectly, even if it could have been a little wider shot showing a bit more of her 🙂

Frankie Young – Getting a Leg Up!

Frankie Young wearing blacking stockings and panties in a very odd pose!  I’m not sure what she was trying to achieve here with this pose, but it looks weird.  Was she trying to prop her leg on top of the chair or get her leg over, oooer!  Either way she looks awkward and the pout on her face says it all.

Life’s a Beach with Sophia Dawn & Frankie Young (1964)

Sophia Dawn and Frankie Young on a beach in Cornwall in some unusual poses (artistic?) from the hardback publication, She Walks in Beauty (1964). One of GHM’s favourite locations for outdoor work in the mid 1960’s. I do sometimes wonder how he got away with all this nakedness on the beach, but I suppose the beaches were less crowded back then, or they were up early!

Frankie Young – She Walks in Beauty (1)

Three images of a nude Frankie Young messing about in the hay taken by Harrison Marks and printed in the ‘She Walks in Beauty’ hardback book published in 1964. A popular choice of model for this book as she appears no less than 16 times either posing alone or with other models!
