Ann Austin as Jean Tudor from the restored colour centre pages of Follies Magazine. I have no idea why she is named Jean Tudor in this article other than the Americans thought it was very English to use the Tudor name? Regardless of the name Ann looks stunning in long open negligee!

The beautiful buxom Ann Austin posing in the hay by Harrison Marks. This comes from a restored 35mm colour Pamar slide sent over by Kevin and I believe although there is hay/straw in the shot this was taken on the Loft set? The delicious Ann Austin on the cover of the very first edition of Solo by Harrison Mark in 1958. I thought I had posted this cover some time ago, but checking back it seems I missed it, how remiss of me! So here it is and Ann looks as stunning as always sat there naked on the cover 🙂
The ample assets of Ann Austin from a restored silver gelatin photo. I’m not quite sure what the finger is doing and she doesn’t really look that happy or maybe it’s a sultry look that didn’t quite work?
There is no doubting that it’s Ann Austin on the cover of this US magazine Glamour Parade (February 1959), but interesting that the magazine has her named as Ellie Manning on the cover.
Thanks to Paul from Firebird Records for the cover and additional info that unfortunately the only other image inside the magazine is the same shot in black & white. No indication of the fact that she’s a British model, in fact it suggests she’s from New York! But we all know how the magazines and photographer’s back then liked to embellish on the truth around model names and where they came from 🙂
