Dawn Grayson – Kamera Calendar, February 1969

Dawn Grayson in long blonde wig from the February page of the Kamera 1969 calendar. This shot comes from the same set as the shots in this article and were taken on the ‘Hollywood’ set at Lily Place Studios in 1964.

Maxine Miller Uncensored!

An uncensored shot of Maxine Miller kneeling on an armchair in GHM’s living room (you can see the bar to the right) from the pages of Magnificent Models No.2.

Maxine modelled for GHM in the mid 1960’s onwards and appeared in Kamera No.57, No.58, No.71, No.72, No.76 and No.83, but never appeared on the cover. She also appeared in Solo No.38, Femme No.8. Kamera Special No.3 and the hardback ‘She Walks in Beauty‘. Her one glamour film appearance was No.55 ‘Nude In The Sun’. She also appeared in various other publications during the 60’s including ‘Ed Alexander Photographs English Beauties

Pamela Green – She Walks in Beauty

Pamela Green posing nude on the bonnet of a classic American Oldsmobile car from the pages of ‘She Walks in Beauty’ (1964). I’ve also seen this image coloured over on oldiznewagain’s site and must say the chrome bumper and red boot look excellently coloured. Pamela Green is looking as composed and classy as always.

More Paula King!

Following the continued discussion over the weekend on who appears on the cover of Lenz No.3, more evidence to support the fact that it appears to be Paula King. This shot comes from page 5 of ‘Ed Alexander Photographs English Beauties’ and is one of four shots throughout the magazine of Paula.

I think we can conclusively say at this point that it is indeed Paula on the cover and it is GHM’s Roller!

Thanks to all for the discussion and another GHM model identified :)

Dawn Grayson – The Magic in a Face

I originally published a version of this image under the title ‘Shattered Glass’ in June 2013 when I came across the image of Dawn and it was instantly a favourite. Well now I’ve found where it came from and have an original copy, as above. It was originally published in ‘Ed Alexander Photographs English Beauties’ on page 84, where he describes expressions of the face can change the mood of a photograph.

Incidentally I prefer this version to the first I found, as it looks better in black and white and Dawn looks good with a beauty spot!

Wendy Luton – Not Your Average Household Pose!

Wendy Luton looking very inviting laying there on the rug in front of the fire. Taken from the pages of ‘Ed Alexander Photographs English Beauties’. This was used as an example of how a shot of a nude beauty can be enhanced by placing her in a normal household setting rather than a studio. To be honest with that figure you could put Wendy Luton in any location and she’d still catch my attention!
