The Stripper and The Jaguar – Unknown Model not Revealed!

Following on from this article trying to identify an unknown model and some excellent feedback from Ozprof I’ve located the full article from Satana Magazine No.8 (Summer 1965) and also thought I’d had an epiphany on the model!  It’s Elaine Desmond (It’s not!) with a beehive hairstyle! I knew I recognised her but couldn’t put a name to the face.  Anyway the full article with magazine cover for completeness.  

Update: Thanks to the commenters below we have established it isn’t Elaine Desmond, but who is it then and was her real name Marie Provost?  Added to the unknown models page for further identification.

Model ID Needed?

I’m going to start an unknown model page shortly as there are still a fair few models that posed for GHM and others that I’ve been unable to identify as of yet.  I’m sure all of you that follow this blog have far better knowledge than me, so may be able to help ID some of them :)

In the meantime here’s one that’s been bugging me for a while as I recognise her but can’t put a name to her.  The article says Marie, but not convinced that’s correct?

What I do know (I think!) is it was part of a set or article and looks to be at Ewhurst. I’m also pretty certain the driver is Dawn Grayson hidden under that cap, although if I didn’t know better I’d swear it was Michael Jackson from this shot!

All resolved and the model identified as – -Elaine Desmond!

Ann Austin at Ewhurst

Two wonderful shots of Ann Austin posing on the lawn outside the front of Ewhurst Manor.  As you look at Ewhurst this lawn is to the left of the main front door and building, working on the principle that these photographs are the correct way round as I’ve seen others reversed! Loving The floral bikini Ann is wearing as well.

Eve Eden – In The Good Old Summertime

Several shots of Eve Eden from a magazine shoot, which I’ve not yet been able to identify.  The location of the shots is easier to pinpoint as it’s outside the front of Ewhurst Manor and gardens.

Found the original it comes from Carnival (August 1965)

Who Was Doris Weems?

Back in June I published an article from Caper Magazine on ‘Ewhurst Manor’ and the owners, but noticed that the first page seemed to be missing.  I’ve been on the hunt for it and finally a few weeks ago found a full version of Caper Vol.9 No.4 from July 1963, which included the full article, result! I now have the first page, which is included below, but it got me thinking, who is the woman taking the photo?
Sad as it may sound I was able to identify Jayne Tracey from the rear view, but the woman taking the photo in this shot made me curious.  She also partly appears in a second shot from the same article, again with JT modelling.
Having dug around I found a further two photographs that appear to be taken at the same time at Ewhurst, but this time in colour.
With these two photographs was a name … Doris Weems, which is new to me.  I’ve tried to find out more about her, but as of yet come up blank.  So, who was Doris Weems and what was her relationship to Harrison Marks or to Ewhurst itself?
If anyone can shed some further light on this question please do let me know?
