Maria Clarence – Highlighted Freckles (Original)

When I saw this image sent through by Kevin I knew I couldn’t resist editing and posting it straight away! It’s such a beautifully posed and lit shot of Maria Clarence that I instantly like it. The lighting source from the right highlights Maria’s face, thighs and boobs perfectly, along with the freckles on her shoulder.  Add into the shot the shadows showing the curve of her stomach and the reflection on her thumbnail and the shot works for me at every level. A perfect shot of Maria thanks to Kevin!

Maxine – Fiesta Magazine (Nov 1956)

Two shots of Maxine Ellis from Fiesta magazine (Nov 1956) posing with a multi-coloured crochet blanket, used in various ways to cover her modesty for some reason.  Taken by Harrison Marks these a typical shots for Fiesta at that time, before moving to the slightly more risqué topless views.

The Curve of Unknown Hips (Original)

Another unknown GHM model that again looks familiar, but then they all look familiar to me now, but I can’t place her? Posing in the window of Ewhurst or Walden this beautiful unknown model (No.41) is giving her small pert boob a squeeze, as she shows off her fantastic bush and the curves of her hips to good effect. Anyone know who she is, so we can put a name to the curve of those hips?

Anna Verdi – A Woodland Houri!

Anna Verdi as Nanette Pouchard from France, appearing as a woodland houri in Heels and Hose Vol.3 No.3 Quarterly edition (1961) covering April/May/June. I had to look up what Houri meant as I hadn’t got a clue with that one, but it means a voluptuously beautiful young woman, or nymph both very apt! This scan along with several others come from Oldtimeerotica over on Tumblr, so thanks to Ads for allowing me to share his scans here.

I also noticed looking through the scans that a number of Harrison Marks models appear in the same magazine, but again under different names, including Dawn Grayson, Cleo Simmons and Lena Ellis to name three. I’ll post those pages soon as well.

June Palmer – Worth Every Penny!

A two page advert from a photographic magazine in 1959 (title unknown) offering the delightful services of a young June Palmer. I do like a bit of memorabilia of June and there were a couple of lines that made me chuckle in this advert, ‘A Very Good Model Indeed’  is very understated and I love the old style telephone number that uses words and numbers. I also like the fee per hour of £1 10 6, which works out in today’s prices as about £85 an hour. For an hour photographing June cheap at half the price and worth every penny. I know others have photographed June at various times throughout her career including John, so I’m curious what did they pay for the privilege of shooting June?

Could It Be Marie? (1950’s)

A restored 1950’s silver gelatin photograph that on a first look I thought it was young Marie Deveraux, but after looking at it for longer I’m not sure. The facial features a very similar, but the boobs look different from all the shots I have of Marie, but we know how the body develops and changes as you mature, so it could be her?  I know it is an early Harrison Marks photo, so is it her or just a good resemblance?
