Josephine Watson – The Girl With The Feline Look! (1958)

Another unknown model (No.33) in my unknown model list until now, as she has now been identified, again by Jeff as Josephine Watson. She appears for Harrison Marks in Kamera No.3 and Kamera No.11 (above) and only a couple of times in each publication, but as you can see has quite a distinct look.  Well Jeff came across her again in Charm magazine No.33 with her name and a very apt title, as her look is very feline. Thanks as always to Jeff for his effort in finding names to all these unknown models, obviously got too much time on his hands 🙂

Paula’s Puppies!

Scan of a silver gelatin photo of Paula Page giving her puppies a good squeeze as she poses on a chair. A great shot of Paula pulling quite a funny face as she poses and notice the only thing she’s wearing is an ankle chain.

Pamela Green – Amongst The Balloons! (Original)

A great shot of a dark haired Pamela Green posing amongst coloured balloons from a negative scan from Kevin.  I can’t say I’ve seen any shots of Pam from this set before with the balloons, but it looks to be an early shot of her prior to her Kamera days? If I were to hazard a guess I’d say it was still taken by Harrison Marks, but probably appeared in Carnival or Foto in the mid 1950’s, but I could be wrong? I’m sure the Pam experts out there such as Simon or Yak can enlighten us more on the origin?

Wherever it came from still a very good colour shot of Pam with very little restoring required considering its age and thanks to Kevin for sharing.

Gloria Lomax – Ready For the Honeymoon! (Original)

A visual treat of Gloria Lomax (Donna Ambrose) posing in stockings and underwear as she opens her suitcase to reveal her naughty negligee.  I can just imagine this being a scene from a honeymoon, with the bride getting ready for the first night with her new husband 🙂

Well in my mind that is how I see it, but the reality was probably different and more like Olive from ‘On The Buses’! Google an image of her and you’ll understand the reference. Thanks to Kevin for the scan of this original print of Gloria.

Wicked Wanda (1950’s)

So another unknown model potentially identified from my list of unknown models, again sent through by Jeff. Jeff sent through the bottom image of Janet Riley from Carnival magazine (Jan 1957), who he believes is also the unknown model No.10 I’ve posted before from Photographic Rhythm No.1 (Top Shot). At the same time I also found the middle shot of the same model, but titled as Wanda, but that should be taken with a pinch of salt as it’s only in the title.  So is this Janet Riley? The early image of her is very different from the others, but there are some facial similarities. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to find any other references to her as Janet Riley or Wanda, so we will just have to go with what we have.

Thanks to Jeff for his continuing effort to go through my list of unknown models and trying to identify them 🙂

A Shipwrecked June (Original)

An original image scanned directly from the negative of June posing on driftwood, which is a still from the glamour film ‘Castaway’. Castaway was Strobe Film No.2  which came in both Colour & Black & White and was produced by Arthur Howell. This image comes from midway through the film with June adrift on the sea before waking to see a shoreline, where she then lays down her towel and strips off to enjoy the sun.  Which is what we all would of course do having been shipwrecked, but then it is June and any excuse to get naked.

A great shot from the film and I must post the film soon as I do have a colour copy, if a little faded.
