Sylvana Manto By Philip Gotlop (Original)

Another shot from the collection of original Philip Gotlop prints sent over by Paul from Firebird Records, but this time the model is recognisable, especially if you follow this site. The model so beautifully highlighted by the light and shadows is non other than Sylvana Manto (Madelaine Bannister). A stunning shot of her by Philip and I do wonder why his early glamour work has gone mostly unnoticed or avoided rather than his more popular work? Maybe as he became more popular he didn’t want to be associated with this side of his photography, but we all have to start somewhere!

Another visually stunning shot of the seductive Julie (Shearing) from Solo No.4 (1958) by Harrison Marks. There is something about the make-up and highlights in the hair that give her a Cruella de Vil sort of look 🙂

Helena McGuire – All Decked Out!

I’ve seen this shot and others from the same set of 35mm colour slides a few times before, but they were always very bad quality and didn’t seem to stand the test of time very well. That was until I got sent several of Helena McGuire and another model posing on a very 1960’s sun lounger exposing her body and magnificent bush to the sun, despite the fact it’s in a studio!

Carol Perry – A Cheeky One at The Dog & Duck! (Original)

I couldn’t resist this shot of Carol Perry sent over by member Whyriley, who used to run a photographic studio back in the 1960’s and 70’s. Carol was one of his models, but unsure if she was professional or amateur, but very photogenic and this shot of the two little toys balancing on her nice round boob is very cheeky! Thanks to Whyriley for sharing some of his work with me here 🙂

Doris Hurst – Round & Firm (Original)

Someone asked for another shot of Doris Hurst, so I aim to please with another shot of her from the same set as this shot. I had a few comments about Doris looking similar to other stars from the 1960’s including June Thorburn and Liz Fraser and I agree there are some similarities.  I don’t think either of the other two revealed as much as Doris, although Liz was portrayed a busty blonde, that always seemed to end up stripped off down to her underwear in ‘Carry On’ films!

I love Doris and her fabulous 1950’s figure and big round firm boobs. This crisp clear copy comes from Girlymag and needed very little in the way of restoring/editing to show her off in the best light.

Ann Austin – Sleeping Beauty! (Original)

An original print of Ann Austin apparently asleep in bed, but with the sheet down to give us a flash of one of her magnificent boobs! There is something quite voyeuristic about this shot and seeing Ann’s boob as she sleeps, which I assume was the point of the shot. I have several other shots from this set and the whole premise of the set is Ann sleeping nude between those silk sheets, slowly waking up and getting out of bed to reveal more of her glorious body in different poses 🙂
