Hazel Taylor Untamed!

Damn that’s some impressive topiary that Hazel Taylor has there and I bet she kept the retouchers employed in the late 1960’s! Posing in the gardens of Ewhurst Manor an uncensored shot of Hazel by Harrison Marks published in Nature’s Intention Vol.1 No.2 (1969)

Sylvana Manto – I Think There’s A Ladder in Your Stocking!

I’m sure Kevin won’t mind me reporting this cheeky little shot of Sylvana Manto that he originally posted over on his Pinupmemories blog. It made me smile when I saw it as it looks like a very tounge in cheeky pose from her.

June at Strobe Studio’s (1978)

I came across these wonderful shots of an older June over on Tumblr posted by itsgardin. They show June still looking very good and posing at Strobe Studio’s in 1978.  I don’t know if these were actually taken by itsgardin at the time or he’s just a big June fan, but I’ve tried to contact him to see if there are any more as I’ve not come across any of his shots before.  Some look like a set taken by John W, so I may check with John to see if he knows anything more, but if not we will have to hope itsgardin gets back to me 🙂

Enjoy!

There’s No Flies on Pam Arnold (1968)

The above image is of Pam Arnold/Tiffany St.Clair on the cover of Fiesta Magazine Vol.2 No.1 (March 1968) and was sent through by Terry with another great little story. Rather than paraphrase it I’ll post it as sent by Terry as I’m sure he won’t mind and it will make the post title become clear. Anyway over to Terry …
‘Today I saw Pam Arnold on your website and it reminded me of the times I worked with her. One of the first shoots was in the studio and the attached Fiesta cover was one of the resulting pictures, but mostly we used her for filming. At that time Russell Gay had a good outlet in Denmark and we used to supply them with 16mm films depicting the so called “Joy” of nudism. Invariably it involved two girls and a guy prancing around on a beach, throwing large balls about. Any excuse! Pam did a couple of these, once working with Lena Ellis, but I can`t remember who the other girl was in the second film. We were shooting at Pegwell Bay when there was a rather odd incident I recall. Mid afternoon we were suddenly engulfed by a swarm of small black flies. Unfortunately they all insisted on landing on Pam’s pubic area and more or less ignored the rest of us. All very embarrassing for the poor girl, no matter how many she tried to brush off they just kept returning to her most sensitive spot. Finally she threw a major wobbly and we had to pack up and move a lot further along the beach. I think that was the last time we worked with her and I am pretty sure that was when she went to GHM.’
What a fab little story and one worth sharing and I’m sure should Pam ever read this she wouldn’t mind! A big thanks to Terry again for another wonderful little story and accompanying image – Thanks Terry! Also one of the best scans of a Early Fiesta cover I’ve seen, so Terry must have kept it in good nick!

June Palmer – Backstage Beauty (Original)

I’ve published other shots of June posing for Harrison Marks on the backstage set, but this is the first real quality colour shot. This shot is one of two colour shots from backstage and comes from a set of 8 original Harrison Marks glamour slides (Set No.60), which I recently won over on eBay. The slides themselves are excellent quality with very few blemishes on them, but unfortunately over time they have gained a magenta tinge to them. Thankfully the colour correction software on my scanner managed to compensate for this and restored the colours. This is also the same (cropped) shot of June that appears on the cover of Kamera No.61, so puts the shot at around 1964.

I love this new set of slides of June and will publish all 8 once I’ve scanned and restored them. I’m also really please with how this shot has restored and comes out 🙂

Maxine, The Mannequin & Props!

Maxine Miller posing with an assortment of different props in black wig and red panties for Russell Gay or one of his photography team. A bizarre set up and one wonders why there is one red shoe on top of a clock and one in the vase?
